Introduction
We are seeking a proactive and service‑oriented Front Desk Agent (Penanggung Jawab Layanan Tamu) to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is the first point of contact for guests arriving at our budget‑friendly capsule hotel located near a busy airport hub. The ideal candidate will bring a friendly attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage high‑volume guest interactions with efficiency and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, perform check‑in and check‑out procedures, and issue room keys in a timely manner.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using our property management system, ensuring data accuracy.
- Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local transportation options, and nearby attractions, especially airport‑related services.
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized front‑desk area, including daily cash handling, reconciliation of payments, and preparation of shift reports.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams to ensure rooms are ready for arrival and any maintenance issues are resolved quickly.
- Monitor and manage the hotel’s phone lines, email correspondence, and online booking platforms to maximize occupancy.
- Support promotional activities such as upselling room upgrades, late‑checkout options, and ancillary services like airport shuttle or luggage storage.
- Adhere to health, safety, and security protocols, including emergency evacuation procedures and guest verification processes.
- Continuously seek ways to improve guest satisfaction scores and contribute ideas for operational enhancements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a front‑desk or similar guest‑service role, preferably in a budget or capsule hotel environment.
- Experience in high‑mobility settings such as airport hotels is a strong advantage.
- Valid driving license is a plus, enabling assistance with guest transportation requests.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
- Positive attitude, strong service orientation, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
- Basic computer literacy, familiarity with property management software, and cash handling experience.
