Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Technician (Teknisi) to join our operations team in the remote mining region of Mimika, Indonesia. This full‑time position supports the maintenance and reliability of restaurant and hospitality facilities located at our client sites. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure uninterrupted service for staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will work on a rotating shift schedule, reporting to the Facility Operations Manager while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on kitchen equipment such as fryers, noodle cookers, griddles, boilers, cup sealers, and cold storage units.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic electrical and plumbing issues that affect daily restaurant operations, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Inspect, replace, and calibrate mechanical components to keep MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems operating within manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain civil infrastructure, including flooring, drainage, and structural supports, to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
  • Document all work performed in daily logs, detailing problems identified, actions taken, parts used, and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to reorder spare parts and consumables, managing inventory levels to avoid service interruptions.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for equipment safety.
  • Ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and compliant with company‑wide occupational health and safety policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with both on‑site staff and remote engineering support, providing clear communication on technical issues.
  • Assist in training junior technicians and apprentices, sharing knowledge of best practices in equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • At least 2–4 years of hands‑on experience maintaining kitchen and restaurant equipment, including boilers, griddles, fryers, and cold storage systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MEP systems, with strong troubleshooting skills for electrical circuits, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (including weekends) and to be deployed to any location across Indonesia, specifically the Mimika area.
  • Male candidates only, as per client site requirements.
  • Strong personal attributes: honesty, discipline, responsibility, loyalty, creativity, hard‑working, proactive, innovative, and high dedication.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities as well as the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer literacy for reporting and inventory management; familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus.
  • Physical fitness to handle lifting of equipment parts and work in varied environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote sites.
