Introduction

The Kolektor Lapangan Wilayah Balikpapan is a critical field collection position responsible for maintaining healthy cash flow and fostering positive relationships with customers in the Balikpapan region. This role operates within a dynamic financial services environment, where timely payment collection and proactive customer engagement are essential to the company’s profitability and reputation. The successful candidate will work closely with the Credit Management Team, supporting both new and existing accounts by ensuring overdue installments are addressed promptly and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily monitoring of accounts within the assigned geographic area to identify overdue installments and potential delinquency risks.
  • Visit customers in person who have missed payment deadlines, presenting clear payment options and negotiating feasible repayment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, including visit reports, payment confirmations, and follow‑up actions, using the company’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—such as credit analysts, customer service representatives, and legal counsel—to resolve disputes and accelerate payment cycles.
  • Provide regular status updates to supervisors, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for improving collection efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including consumer protection laws and company policies regarding data privacy and ethical collection practices.
  • Utilize a personal motorcycle and a valid Class C driver’s license (SIM C) to travel efficiently throughout the Balikpapan area, ensuring timely coverage of all assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong rapport with customers, acting as a trusted advisor who can explain the benefits of staying current on payments and the consequences of continued delinquency.
  • Assist in training new team members by sharing best practices and effective communication techniques for field collection.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Male candidates only, aged 35 years or younger.
  • Possession of a personal motorcycle and a valid Class C driver’s license (SIM C) is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of the Balikpapan area, including local neighborhoods, commercial districts, and transportation routes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to remain calm and persuasive under pressure.
  • Basic literacy in financial concepts, particularly debt collection and installment payment structures.
  • Good time‑management abilities and the capacity to work independently while meeting daily and weekly targets.
  • Proficiency in using mobile devices and basic computer applications for reporting and data entry.
  • High level of integrity and a customer‑focused mindset, ensuring all interactions reflect the company’s professional standards.
