Introduction
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our kitchen team on a part‑time basis at our flagship restaurant located in Banda Aceh. As a Staff Kitchen member, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service that our guests expect.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef and line cooks in preparing ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning according to recipe specifications.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and food processors safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly, monitor stock levels, and communicate shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
- Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols, including regular cleaning of workstations, utensils, and the overall kitchen area.
- Support the plating and garnishing of dishes to meet visual presentation standards.
- Collaborate with team members to manage peak service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Participate in daily briefings, providing feedback on workflow improvements and reporting any equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in waste reduction initiatives by properly sorting and disposing of food waste, recycling, and composting where applicable.
- Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to the dress code, including proper attire, hair restraints, and non‑slip footwear.
- Uphold a positive and respectful attitude toward colleagues, management, and guests, contributing to a harmonious workplace culture.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen setting; prior experience is strongly preferred.
- Age limit: 29 years or younger.
- All genders are welcome to apply.
- Residency in Banda Aceh or Aceh Besar is highly desirable.
- Must not be currently enrolled in full‑time academic studies.
- Demonstrated honesty, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions precisely.
- Commitment to regular religious practice (Rajin Beribadah) as part of our cultural values.
- Proficiency in operating standard kitchen equipment and basic food preparation techniques.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English is a plus.
