Responsibilities
The Waiter position encompasses a broad range of duties that ensure smooth daily operations and high guest satisfaction. Typical responsibilities include:
- Greeting guests promptly with a friendly demeanor and escorting them to their tables.
- Presenting menus, explaining daily specials, and answering questions about menu items.
- Accurately taking food and beverage orders, entering them into the POS system, and communicating them to kitchen staff.
- Serving dishes and drinks in a timely manner while adhering to presentation standards.
- Monitoring tables throughout the meal to anticipate additional needs, refill beverages, and address any concerns.
- Processing payments, issuing receipts, and handling cash or electronic transactions securely.
- Maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables, resetting settings, and ensuring proper sanitation.
- Collaborating closely with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure seamless service flow.
- Participating in pre‑shift briefings, post‑shift debriefings, and regular training sessions to continuously improve service quality.
- Upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with local regulations and restaurant policies.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria and possess the essential soft skills that align with our service standards:
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Must be 30 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Physical & mental health: Must be in good physical condition and possess a positive, resilient mindset.
- Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, from Monday to Saturday (08:00 – 17:00).
- Academic status: Not currently enrolled in, nor planning to enroll in, any formal education program.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Core skills: Strong food and beverage service abilities, basic knowledge of menu items, and proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication, active listening, teamwork, problem‑solving, and a courteous, customer‑focused attitude.
- Reliability: Punctuality, dependable work ethic, and the ability to handle high‑pressure situations with composure.
