Introduction
Biznet, a leading provider of fiber‑optic broadband and ISP services in Indonesia, is seeking a dedicated Professional WiFi Network Technician to join our dynamic team in Yogyakarta. The successful applicant will be based at our Biznet Branch locations in Demangan and Jefferson, working closely with our field operations and support teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site installation and activation of WiFi and fiber‑optic equipment for residential and business customers.
- Provide remote and in‑person technical support, diagnosing and troubleshooting connectivity issues, signal degradation, and hardware failures.
- Configure routers, access points, and FTTH (Fiber‑to‑the‑Home) devices to meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks, firmware upgrades, and performance testing to ensure network reliability.
- Document all service activities, including work orders, test results, and customer communications, using Biznet’s ticketing system.
- Educate customers on proper use of equipment, basic troubleshooting steps, and best practices for optimal WiFi performance.
- Collaborate with the network planning team to provide feedback on field conditions, enabling continuous improvement of network design.
- Adhere to safety protocols, handling fiber‑optic cables and tools with care to prevent accidents and service interruptions.
- Participate in shift rotations and be available for mobile deployments as required by service demand.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK (Technical Computer Networking major) with a minimum grade of 80, or an associate/diploma (D3) / bachelor’s degree (S1) in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Information Systems with a GPA of at least 3.00.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in fiber‑optic, FTTH, or ISP environments.
- Strong knowledge of fiber‑optic principles, splicing, termination, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in WiFi network analysis, signal mapping, and RF interference mitigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle shifting schedules, including weekends.
- Must be a male candidate, aged 30 years or younger, and currently residing in Yogyakarta.
- Willingness to travel between Biznet branch sites and respond to on‑call service requests.
- Preferred: Prior experience with ISP ticketing platforms and exposure to large‑scale network deployments.
