Introduction
The Pengajar English Profesional is a full‑time teaching position at our premier language centre, reporting directly to the Center Director and the Director of Studies. The role is designed for enthusiastic, qualified English educators who can deliver high‑quality instruction both on‑site and in virtual classrooms. Working hours total 40 hours per week and are scheduled by the Director of Studies, with the possibility of split shifts (morning and evening) to accommodate both centre‑based and off‑site sessions. Candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree (S1) and possess a minimum of one year of teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to 40 academic hours (approximately 24 actual contact hours) per week, following the timetable assigned by the Director of Studies.
- Deliver lessons that meet the highest standards of English language teaching, using the centre’s approved curricula and supplementary materials as needed.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans and gather all teaching resources before each class, ensuring punctual start and finish times.
- Administer tests, quizzes, and assessments in line with centre procedures, and accurately record student performance.
- Maintain comprehensive student and class records, including progress reports and certification documentation.
- Participate in placement testing and interview processes for new enrolments, providing constructive feedback.
- Lead demonstration lessons, conversation clubs, and extracurricular language activities that enhance speaking confidence.
- Support administrative tasks and special projects as directed, such as curriculum updates or event coordination.
- Ensure all teaching equipment and learning resources are kept in excellent condition.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and centre management, communicating effectively about student needs and programme updates.
- Assist in organising and promoting centre‑wide social and marketing events to raise community engagement.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university (minimum S1).
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; TOEFL ≥ 550 or IELTS ≥ 6.5 is advantageous.
- At least one year of experience teaching English, preferably with exposure to both offline and online formats.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans, adapt materials, and assess learner progress.
- Flexibility to work split shifts and occasional weekend or evening sessions as required.
- Commitment to a minimum one‑year contract, demonstrating reliability and long‑term dedication.
