Introduction
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Food and Beverage team as Waiters at the Bacoot Pontianak branch. This entry‑level position offers a valuable foot‑in‑the‑door for young professionals looking to start a career in hospitality. Candidates must possess a minimum education level of SMA/SMK (or equivalent) and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, reliability, and a customer‑focused attitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, presenting menus and answering basic inquiries about dishes and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using handheld POS systems, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are clearly noted.
- Serve meals and beverages in a timely manner, maintaining proper table settings and adhering to hygiene standards.
- Monitor table status, refill drinks, and anticipate guest needs to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff and bar personnel to coordinate order flow and resolve any service issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables, resetting settings, and performing routine sanitation tasks.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash or card transactions with accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in regular team briefings and training sessions to stay updated on menu changes, promotional offers, and service standards.
- Uphold Bacoot’s brand image by adhering to dress code, grooming standards, and professional conduct at all times.
- Provide feedback to management regarding guest preferences, recurring issues, and suggestions for service improvement.
Requirements
- Age between 18 and 35 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Female candidates are preferred for this specific location.
- No prior experience required; however, any background in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English.
- Demonstrated honesty, discipline, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry.
- Availability to work full‑time from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Must not be currently enrolled in a university program or employed elsewhere.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays, and navigate a fast‑paced environment.
