Responsibilities
The Helper Cook will play a crucial supporting role in daily kitchen operations. Key duties include:
- Assisting senior cooks with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Ensuring all stations are stocked, organized, and sanitized before, during, and after service.
- Following standard recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency and reduce waste.
- Operating basic kitchen equipment safely, such as ovens, grills, mixers, and slicers.
- Monitoring food safety standards, including proper storage temperatures and labeling.
- Supporting the kitchen team during peak periods by executing quick‑fire tasks and maintaining a steady workflow.
- Participating in inventory checks, reporting shortages, and assisting with ordering of supplies.
- Cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas to uphold hygiene regulations.
- Communicating effectively with chefs, servers, and front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth service.
- Adapting to last‑minute menu changes and handling pressure with a calm, solution‑focused attitude.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory; on‑the‑job training will be provided.

- Core Skills: Basic cooking techniques, food handling, and familiarity with kitchen tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, honesty, responsibility, teamwork, and the ability to work independently when required.
- Physical Ability: Capacity to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg, and work in a hot, fast‑moving environment.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with flexibility for occasional overtime during busy periods.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and maintain quality standards during high‑volume service.
