Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and customer‑focused Front Office Officer to join our hotel’s front desk team. This pivotal role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome, efficient check‑in and check‑out processes, and seamless coordination with all hotel departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, handling arrivals and departures with professionalism.
- Manage the reservation system, confirm bookings, process cancellations, and update guest records accurately.
- Handle guest inquiries, provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation options.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to fulfill special requests and resolve issues.
- Process payments, issue invoices, and manage cash handling procedures in compliance with hotel policies.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring all promotional materials and forms are up‑to‑date.
- Respond to guest complaints with empathy, escalating to management when necessary while striving for swift resolution.
- Perform night‑audit duties, reconcile daily transactions, and generate reports for management review.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with hotel software, safety protocols, and service standards.
- Assist in implementing upselling initiatives, such as promoting room upgrades, spa services, and dining packages.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3/S1 preferred for certain positions.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in front office or customer service within the hospitality industry.
- Honest, disciplined, responsible, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and under pressure during peak periods.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional weekend or holiday coverage.
