Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Purchasing and Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our organization maintains a reliable flow of goods and services while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in logistics management, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements to secure the best terms for the company.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Production, Finance, and Quality Assurance to determine material requirements and forecast demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team to prevent stock‑outs or excess inventory.
  • Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging suppliers.
  • Manage supplier relationships, address performance issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, highlighting cost‑saving opportunities and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards throughout the purchasing process.
  • Work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, especially during peak production cycles or special projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; additional training in logistics or procurement is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in purchasing, procurement, or logistics management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Honest, responsible, and highly accountable for personal and team outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated capability to handle high‑stress situations and meet strict deadlines.
  • Basic proficiency with procurement software, Excel, and other office productivity tools.
