Introduction

The Area Business Development Head will lead the strategic growth and operational excellence of our gold and jewelry retail network across a designated region. This senior leadership role combines hands‑on branch oversight with high‑level strategic planning to ensure that each outlet delivers superior customer service, meets sales targets, and operates in strict compliance with our standards and industry regulations. The successful candidate will be a decisive, disciplined manager with deep knowledge of gold products, proven leadership experience, and a passion for driving results in a fast‑moving retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of all branches within the assigned area, ensuring smooth workflow, optimal staffing, and adherence to company policies.
  • Set, monitor, and achieve regional sales targets, working closely with branch managers to develop actionable plans that boost revenue and market share.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of branch teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high morale.
  • Maintain rigorous service standards and operational quality by enforcing SOPs, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock reconciliations, and ensure the security of gold and jewelry assets through robust loss‑prevention measures.
  • Develop and execute area‑wide sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and operational efficiencies that align with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide timely updates on regional performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Travel frequently to each branch for on‑site inspections, coaching sessions, and to address any operational challenges directly.
  • Analyze financial reports, identify profitability gaps, and recommend cost‑saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the corporate headquarters and the local branches, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.

Requirements

  • Male candidates (as per company policy) with a minimum education of D3/S1 in any field; a background in business, finance, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of proven leadership or managerial experience, preferably within retail or the gold/jewelry sector.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on experience in the gold or jewelry industry, with a solid understanding of gold purity, pricing mechanisms, and basic product handling.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a track record of effective problem‑solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce discipline, uphold standards, and take responsibility for both team performance and operational outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned area and conduct regular branch visits.
  • Professional demeanor with high ethical standards, especially regarding the handling and security of valuable assets.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software, MS Office, and data analysis tools to drive decision‑making.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 07:45 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during peak periods or special events.
