Introduction

The Steward Layanan Penumpang (Passenger Service Steward) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality and safety to travelers aboard our airline’s domestic and international flights. As the first point of contact for passengers, you will ensure that every journey begins and ends with comfort, professionalism, and a memorable experience. This position demands a blend of practical service skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to thrive under pressure while upholding the highest standards of integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome passengers aboard, assist with boarding procedures, and guide them to their seats with a friendly and courteous demeanor.
  • Provide in‑flight food and beverage service, ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to passenger inquiries, resolve complaints, and coordinate with cabin crew to address special needs such as medical assistance or mobility support.
  • Conduct safety briefings, demonstrate emergency equipment usage, and monitor cabin conditions throughout the flight.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of meal, drink, and service supplies; report shortages or damages to the logistics team.
  • Collaborate closely with pilots, ground staff, and other stewards to guarantee seamless operations from check‑in to baggage claim.
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments for on‑board purchases, and reconcile receipts at the end of each shift.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards by tidying the cabin, disposing of waste properly, and preparing the aircraft for the next departure.
  • Work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, adhering to the prescribed shift of Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate degree) in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Age: Up to 35 years old (maximum).
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in passenger service, airline catering, or a comparable hospitality role.
  • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and, preferably, basic English proficiency.
  • Demonstrated honesty, responsibility, and a customer‑focused attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Resilience under high‑stress environments, such as peak travel periods and flight delays.
  • Key skill: Proficiency in food and beverage service, including knowledge of hygiene regulations.
