Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus with a thorough knowledge of daily specials and beverage offerings.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders, input them into the POS system, and communicate any special dietary requirements or allergies to the kitchen staff.
  • Serve dishes and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, and garnishing according to restaurant standards.
  • Monitor tables throughout service, refilling drinks, clearing used dishes, and responding swiftly to guest requests or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, including resetting tables, polishing silverware, and adhering to health‑and‑safety regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with chefs, bartenders, and fellow waitstaff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, issue receipts, and reconcile daily sales reports.
  • Participate in pre‑service briefings, menu tastings, and ongoing training sessions to stay updated on new dishes, promotions, and service protocols.
  • Upsell additional menu items such as desserts, specialty coffees, or wine pairings to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties, including setting up dining areas, restocking service supplies, and performing end‑of‑day cleaning tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • Age: 30 years or younger at the time of hiring.
  • Physically fit and mentally alert, capable of standing for long periods and carrying trays up to 15 kg.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Not currently enrolled in, nor planning to enroll in, any academic program that would interfere with shift availability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, patient, and attentive demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high‑quality food and beverage service, preferably with prior experience in a restaurant or café setting (experience not mandatory).
  • Basic proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
  • Team‑player mindset, able to collaborate effectively with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff.
  • Commitment to upholding hygiene standards and following local health regulations.
