Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh, high‑quality ingredients daily, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Cook and plate dishes according to standardized recipes and SOPs, maintaining consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation.
- Monitor cooking times and coordinate multiple orders to guarantee timely service during peak periods.
- Maintain a spotless kitchen environment by adhering to local health regulations and internal cleanliness protocols.
- Track inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and place requisitions for additional supplies when needed.
- Assist the Head Chef in the preparation of complex menu items and special banquet productions.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow kitchen staff, front‑of‑house personnel, and management to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Continuously suggest improvements in workflow, menu development, and cost‑control measures.
- Participate in regular kitchen briefings, safety drills, and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in a professional kitchen, with proven ability to cook both Asian and Western dishes.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, seasoning balances, and plating aesthetics.
- Proficiency with commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and sous‑vide machines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment.
- Detail‑oriented, creative mindset, and a genuine passion for the culinary arts.
