We are seeking a dedicated Cook Assistant – Kitchen Operations Support to join our vibrant culinary team. The successful candidate will work closely with head chefs, line cooks, and service staff to ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

As a Cook Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and consistency of our kitchen operations, supporting both daily service and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning according to recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, GMP).
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, spices, and kitchen supplies; report shortages and help restock as needed.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers safely and efficiently.
  • Support the plating and garnishing of dishes to ensure visual appeal and timely service.
  • Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries, ensuring quality and correct labeling.
  • Participate in daily pre‑service briefings, understanding the menu, special dietary requirements, and service targets.
  • Help enforce kitchen hygiene protocols, including proper waste disposal and pest control measures.
  • Collaborate with the front‑of‑house team to communicate any menu changes, allergen information, or service delays.
  • Continuously improve personal cooking techniques through on‑the‑job training and feedback from senior chefs.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Male candidates are preferred; age limit up to 37 years.
  • At least 1.5–2 years of hands‑on experience in a commercial kitchen or catering environment.
  • Demonstrated cooking skills with a solid understanding of basic culinary techniques.
  • Excellent personal presentation and a courteous demeanor (good looking & tata krama).
  • Confident, communicative, and able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong work ethic, loyalty to the employer, and willingness to meet performance targets.
  • Ability to work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, with flexibility for peak periods.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe kitchen.
