Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Kepala Unit Kebidanan dan Pelayanan Maternal (Head of Midwifery and Maternal Services) at a leading healthcare facility. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the midwifery unit, including nurses, midwives, and support staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols, standard operating procedures, and quality‑assurance programs aligned with national maternal health guidelines.
- Coordinate patient flow from admission to discharge, optimizing bed utilization and minimizing waiting times while maintaining a patient‑centered approach.
- Oversee the documentation and management of medical records using the hospital’s SIMRS (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit) and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and arrange continuing education and training for staff, including PPGDON certification updates.
- Collaborate with obstetrics, neonatology, anesthesia, and laboratory departments to facilitate seamless interdisciplinary care.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as maternal mortality, infection rates, and patient satisfaction, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Prepare and manage the unit’s budget, control inventory of medical supplies, and ensure cost‑effective resource utilization.
- Lead emergency response drills, manage shift schedules, and ensure 24‑hour coverage with a focus on safety and rapid decision‑making.
- Represent the unit in hospital management meetings, contributing strategic insights and advocating for necessary resources.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Professional Midwifery qualification (Profesi Kebidanan) with an active STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi) license.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a leadership role such as unit head, room coordinator, or similar within a maternity or obstetric setting.
- Certification from the PPGDON (Program Pengembangan dan Peningkatan Kompetensi Dosen) training program.
- Proficiency in SIMRS, Microsoft Office suite, and basic data analysis tools.
- Willingness to work rotating shift schedules, including nights and weekends as required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly appearance, strong communication, and the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- High attention to detail, disciplined work ethic, loyalty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
