Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Cook to join our bustling kitchen operations. This full‑time position plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality dishes that meet our guests’ expectations and uphold our brand’s reputation for excellence in the food‑and‑beverage (F&B) industry. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, collaborating closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service flow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards, conducting regular checks of cooking stations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and perform daily stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the head chef to develop new dishes, suggest menu improvements, and adapt recipes based on seasonal ingredients.
- Manage time efficiently during peak periods, ensuring orders are completed accurately and delivered promptly.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a cooperative and respectful work environment.
- Document any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards and report them to management for immediate resolution.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to maintain cost effectiveness while delivering consistent taste and quality.
- Participate in regular kitchen briefings, contributing ideas for operational improvements and workflow optimization.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School (SMA) / Vocational School (SMK) or equivalent.
- Age limit: 35 years or younger.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in the F&B sector, preferably in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Strong time‑management abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks during busy service periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills; ability to communicate clearly with chefs, servers, and management.
- Must not be currently enrolled in any academic program.
- Formal culinary training or a degree in hospitality is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques, food handling, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
