Responsibilities
- Operate the POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system accurately, handling cash, credit, and electronic payments via EDC machines.
- Perform end‑of‑day cash reconciliation and maintain precise cash‑handling records.
- Process customer orders, confirm menu items, and communicate any special requests to kitchen staff.
- Execute up‑selling and cross‑selling techniques to promote high‑margin items such as desserts, beverages, and combo meals.
- Provide clear, courteous, and confident communication with guests, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues promptly.
- Maintain an organized and tidy cashier station, ensuring all equipment is functional and supplies are stocked.
- Collaborate with waitstaff, kitchen crew, and management to ensure seamless service flow, especially during peak hours.
- Adhere to company policies regarding hygiene, safety, and shift schedules, including weekend and early‑morning shifts.
- Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities for process improvements and responding swiftly to unexpected situations.
- Support inventory checks for cash‑handling supplies and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; higher education is a plus.
- Age not exceeding 30 years.
- At least 6‑12 months of experience in a food‑and‑beverage (F&B) environment, preferably as a cashier.
- Proficiency with POS systems and electronic data capture (EDC) machines.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to perform accurate cash bookkeeping.
- Excellent verbal communication skills; able to convey information clearly, confidently, and with a friendly tone.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, maintain speed without compromising accuracy, and uphold honesty in all transactions.
- High level of responsibility, initiative, and quick decision‑making capability.
- Physical and mental fitness to handle long standing periods and shift work.
- Reliable personal transportation and willingness to work at any Lucky Lex branch in the Hang Tuah area.
- Availability to work the full schedule: Monday‑Sunday, 06:00 – 15:00, including weekend shifts.
