Introduction

The Account Officer (Collection) position is based in Cilacap, Jawa Tengah, and serves as a critical link between our finance team and our valued customers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong relationships that support the financial health of our multifinance organization. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with up to one year of experience who are eager to develop a career in credit management and collections within a dynamic, target‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable (A/R) that are overdue between 61 and 120 days, ensuring all collection activities are completed within established timelines.
  • Conduct outbound calls, send reminders, and draft formal collection letters to delinquent borrowers, employing a courteous yet firm approach.
  • Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, and restructuring options that align with company policy while preserving customer goodwill.
  • Update the internal collection system with accurate call logs, payment commitments, and status changes on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate with the credit analysis team to assess risk levels and provide feedback that can improve underwriting criteria.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on collection performance, highlighting trends, successes, and areas needing corrective action.
  • Maintain compliance with local regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards throughout the collection process.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on best practices, legal updates, and emerging collection technologies.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; preference for candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree (D3/S1) in any field.
  • Age: Candidates must be 30 years old or younger.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in collections, credit control, or a related finance function is desirable; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Android devices for mobile data entry; basic proficiency in MS Office or similar spreadsheet tools.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • Effective negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills.
    • High integrity, persistence, attention to detail, and honesty.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 16:00.
