Introduction
The Demonstrator Lapangan Allium will join our dynamic agronomy team to promote, test, and showcase best‑practice cultivation techniques for Allium crops such as onions, shallots, and garlic. This field‑oriented position is based in the heart of our production region, where the successful candidate will work directly with farmers, distributors, and internal research staff to ensure that modern, sustainable farming methods are adopted and that product quality consistently exceeds market expectations. Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site demonstrations of Allium cultivation techniques, including seedbed preparation, planting schedules, irrigation management, and integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
- Collect and record agronomic data such as soil health metrics, plant vigor, disease incidence, and yield parameters using standardized forms and digital tools.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to growers, addressing issues related to soil fertility, nutrient deficiencies, and pest pressure.
- Prepare concise field reports and presentations for both internal stakeholders and external partners, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommended improvements.
- Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to align demonstration activities with product launches, promotional campaigns, and training workshops.
- Maintain and operate a personal motorbike and ensure compliance with local transportation regulations (SIM C).
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to develop instructional materials, track progress, and analyze data trends.
- Stay current with emerging Allium research, sustainable farming practices, and regulatory changes affecting the agriculture sector.
- Represent the company at agricultural fairs, farmer meetings, and community events, fostering strong relationships and brand loyalty.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in the agriculture sector, preferably with exposure to Allium or vegetable crops.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; a strong academic record and internship experience will be valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentation purposes.
- Possession of a valid motorcycle and a SIM C driving license.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in field conditions, including physical stamina for long hours outdoors.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and a basic command of English.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on soil ecology, crop nutrition, and pest‑disease diagnostics.
