Responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils are sanitized regularly.
- Operate and monitor kitchen appliances such as ovens, grills, fryers, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to minimize waste and ensure freshness of ingredients.
- Support senior chefs in assembling dishes for large events, banquets, and daily service.
- Monitor food temperatures and conduct regular checks to comply with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate order flow, ensuring timely delivery of meals during peak hours.
- Participate in daily briefings and post‑service debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and occupational standards, including proper handling of allergens.
- Contribute ideas for menu enhancements, cost‑saving measures, and workflow optimizations.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 25 years old or younger.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- At least 1 year of proven experience working in a kitchen environment.
- Solid understanding of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen terminology.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional overtime.
- No concurrent employment that interferes with scheduled hours.
- Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
