Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Teknisi Pengelola Pendidikan Dasar to join our team in Jambi. This full‑time position supports the operational readiness of primary‑school transportation and mechanical equipment, ensuring that students and staff experience safe, reliable mobility and well‑maintained facilities. The role follows a Monday‑to‑Saturday schedule, with working hours from 08:30 to 16:30. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, physical fitness, and a commitment to a drug‑free workplace.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of school‑owned light vehicles, including vans and minibusses used for student transport.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on‑site, using diagnostic tools and technical manuals specific to Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR/TKRO).
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, parts inventory, and service schedules to comply with government regulations for school transportation.
- Coordinate with school administrators to schedule vehicle downtime, minimizing disruption to daily school activities.
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety standards, conducting brake, tire, lighting, and emissions checks before each trip.
- Provide basic technical training to school staff on proper vehicle usage, loading procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Assist in the procurement of spare parts and recommend cost‑effective solutions for recurring issues.
- Participate in periodic safety audits and contribute recommendations for improving overall fleet efficiency.
- Support other facility‑management tasks such as maintaining playground equipment, classroom projectors, and audio‑visual tools when required.
- Uphold a clean and organized workshop environment, adhering to occupational health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a graduate of Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) or Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif (TKRO).
- Male candidates only, as stipulated by the current operational policy.
- Physical fitness and a clean drug‑test record; must be free from substance abuse.
- Excellent visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors accurately – essential for reading wiring diagrams and safety signals.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical components.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with school staff, parents, and external vendors.
- Willingness to work in Jambi and travel to various school locations within the region.
- No prior professional experience required; fresh graduates with the right technical background are encouraged to apply.
