The successful candidate will serve as the bridge between the brand’s sales strategy and the retail floor, ensuring that product displays, stock levels, and promotional activities align with corporate objectives. Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor merchandising activities across the Medan territory, ensuring compliance with brand standards and planograms.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess shelf availability, product placement, and promotional execution for baby care and other FMCG lines.
- Collect and analyze sales data, share insights with the regional sales team, and recommend corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Coordinate with the logistics department to guarantee timely delivery of products, manage stock rotations, and minimize out‑of‑stock situations.
- Train and mentor retail staff on product knowledge, selling techniques, and effective merchandising practices.
- Maintain accurate records of promotional spend, incentive programs, and retailer feedback using mobile applications (minimum Android 4 GB RAM).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retailers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering long‑term partnerships.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics such as sell‑through rates, market share growth, and promotional ROI.
- Support new product launches by coordinating in‑store activations, sampling campaigns, and point‑of‑sale material distribution.
- Adhere to safety and compliance standards, including proper handling of motorized transport (mandatory motorcycle with active SIM C license).
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: maximum 30 years.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in FMCG or baby‑care sales merchandising.
- Possession of a valid motorcycle and active SIM C driving licence.
- Smartphone (Android) with at least 4 GB RAM for real‑time reporting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to sell and influence retailers effectively.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Goal‑oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Adaptability to changing market conditions and willingness to work flexible hours (Tuesday‑Sunday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Team player who can collaborate across marketing, logistics, and finance departments.
