Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Koordinator Rekam Medis to join our dynamic hospital team. As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of patient information across all departments. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the medical records department, ensuring all patient charts are created, updated, and archived in compliance with national regulations and hospital policies.
- Coordinate the workflow between physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to guarantee timely documentation and retrieval of health records.
- Maintain the integrity of electronic health record (EHR) systems, performing routine audits, data validation, and error correction.
- Train and mentor junior medical record staff on proper coding, filing procedures, and confidentiality standards.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) that improve efficiency, reduce duplication, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external regulatory bodies and accreditation agencies during inspections and audits.
- Handle patient requests for medical records, ensuring response times meet legal and institutional guidelines.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as record turnaround time, accuracy rates, and audit findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with the IT department to troubleshoot system issues, propose enhancements, and support the rollout of new EHR modules.
- Ensure compliance with the Hospital’s Safety and Quality standards, participating in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient safety and data governance.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Rekam Medis (Health Information Management) with an active STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi).
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably in a supervisory or coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian health regulations, HIPAA‑like privacy standards, and hospital accreditation criteria.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey complex information clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in using EHR software (e.g., SIMRS, Medifirst) and MS Office applications.
- Team‑oriented mindset with proven collaboration skills across clinical and administrative units.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00–17:00, with occasional overtime during audits or system upgrades.
