Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Teknisi Jaringan WiFi to join our dynamic telecommunications team in Samarinda. The ideal candidate will possess solid knowledge of fiber optic technology, Wi‑Fi system installation, and on‑site troubleshooting. This full‑time role offers a fast‑track onboarding process for qualified professionals ready to contribute to our growing network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fiber optic cables, ensuring optimal signal integrity and minimal downtime.
- Install, configure, and test Wi‑Fi access points, modems, and cable TV equipment at residential and commercial sites.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues through systematic troubleshooting of both wireless and fiber networks.
- Monitor network performance using industry‑standard tools, generate reports, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers to implement network upgrades, including hub system enhancements and capacity expansions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance activities, and incident logs.
- Provide on‑site technical support during peak periods and emergency outages, adhering to a six‑day work schedule with rotating rest days.
- Assist in training junior technicians and share best practices for safe fiber handling and cable management.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, local regulations, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISO‑9001).
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMK Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) with a score of 80, or D3/S1 in Informatika or Sistem Informasi with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- At least 6 months of hands‑on experience as a Wi‑Fi or Fiber Optic technician (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Proficient in fiber optic splicing, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of wireless networking concepts, signal propagation, and security protocols.
- Valid SIM A driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle; this is considered a plus.
- Willingness to work in the field, including travel to client sites within Samarinda and surrounding areas.
- Flexibility to work six days a week with rotating days off (rolling schedule).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is an advantage.
