Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Account Officer to join our Waste Hub located in Cangkir Driyorejo, Gresik. This role is pivotal in managing supplier relationships, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the quality of incoming materials at our hub. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between our operational teams and the informal sector suppliers, helping to drive efficiency, maintain high standards, and achieve the company’s growth targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, focusing on the informal sector to expand the hub’s sourcing network.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with existing suppliers, addressing concerns promptly and fostering long‑term collaboration.
- Coordinate daily operations between the warehouse, transportation teams, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods to the hub.
- Conduct regular quality‑control inspections of incoming materials, documenting findings and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Perform basic data analysis to monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and inventory accuracy.
- Visit supplier sites regularly to assess capacity, compliance with safety standards, and to provide on‑site support or training.
- Track and report progress against monthly and quarterly targets set by management, highlighting any risks or opportunities.
- Prepare clear, concise reports for senior management that summarize supplier activities, quality metrics, and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with the procurement and finance departments to resolve invoicing discrepancies and ensure smooth payment cycles.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements based on field observations and data trends.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in supplier management, logistics coordination, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when interacting with informal sector partners.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to build trust and rapport with diverse supplier bases.
- Basic analytical skills with the ability to interpret simple data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with basic data‑handling tools.
- Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 16:00.
