We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista Profesional to join the dynamic team at Kedai Kopi. Located in the heart of the city, our coffee shop is celebrated for its artisanal brews, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to delivering an unforgettable coffee experience to every guest. As a Barista, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for crafting high‑quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and embodying the hospitality standards that set us apart in a competitive café market.
This position offers a full‑time schedule, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, providing a stable routine for individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, pour‑over, French press, cold brew, and specialty latte art creations, ensuring consistency and flavor balance.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, steam wands, and manual brew devices, performing routine cleaning and minor troubleshooting.
- Educate customers about coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing methods, offering personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage inventory of beans, milk, syrups, and other bar supplies, conducting daily stock checks and notifying management of reorder needs.
- Adhere to health, safety, and bar‑service regulations, maintaining a spotless workstation and following proper food‑handling protocols.
- Handle cash transactions, process digital payments, and accurately record sales using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Collaborate closely with fellow team members, assisting during peak hours and contributing to a supportive, team‑first culture.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with emerging coffee trends, new brewing technologies, and customer service best practices.
- Provide feedback to management on menu development, equipment upgrades, and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 28 years old or younger.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a barista or in a similar coffee‑service role.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and manual brewing equipment; latte‑art skills are a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding of coffee beans, roasting levels, extraction techniques, and bar‑service standards.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a friendly and approachable demeanor toward customers.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills, capable of working collaboratively during high‑volume periods.
- Strong organizational habits, including neat personal presentation and the ability to keep the work area tidy.
- Flexibility to work the defined schedule of Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
