Ejji Coffee, a thriving specialty coffee shop located in West Surabaya, is expanding its passionate team. We are looking for a talented Barista Spesialis Latte Art who also has a flair for basic cooking to join us as a Barista & Junior Cook. This role is perfect for individuals who love the art of coffee, enjoy a fast‑paced environment, and are eager to grow their skills in both beverage preparation and kitchen support.
Our coffee shop prides itself on delivering a memorable experience to every guest, from the first sip of espresso to the final bite of a freshly prepared snack. If you have a minimum of six months of hands‑on experience with espresso machines, a basic understanding of cooking, and a genuine enthusiasm for latte art, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high‑quality espresso drinks, focusing on intricate latte art that reflects Ejji Coffee’s brand standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee‑making equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the kitchen by preparing simple food items, such as pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast bowls, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and kitchen supplies; place orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions about menu items, suggesting pairings, and handling transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace, performing regular sanitation duties during and after shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours, including multitasking and quick decision‑making.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with new coffee trends, brewing techniques, and health‑safety protocols.
- Uphold company policies on punctuality, attendance, and dress code, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Flexibly work full‑shift schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as required.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Experience: At least 6 years of professional barista experience, with a minimum of 6 months specifically using espresso machines and performing basic cooking duties.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with espresso machines, grinders, milk frothers, and basic kitchen equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong multitasking ability, excellent communication, public speaking confidence, and a genuine passion for coffee culture.
- Personal Qualities: Responsible, honest, disciplined, and eager to learn and deepen expertise in latte art and coffee brewing.
- Availability: Willingness to work full shifts and flexible schedules, including shift work.
- Location: Must be able to work at Ejji Coffee, West Surabaya.
