Introduction

The Director of Sales & Marketing will serve as the strategic leader for all revenue‑generating activities within a leading international hotel brand operating in Indonesia. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this senior role is responsible for driving top‑line growth, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering a high‑performance sales culture across both domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate combines a solid background in hospitality sales with a keen analytical mind, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to inspire teams in a fast‑paced, service‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the hotel’s overall business objectives and maximize RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room).
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team of sales executives, marketing coordinators, and revenue analysts, ensuring clear targets, performance monitoring, and continuous professional development.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, new business opportunities, and potential threats, translating insights into actionable plans.
  • Manage key client relationships, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and tour operators, negotiating contracts and fostering long‑term partnerships.
  • Oversee the creation of integrated marketing campaigns—digital, print, and experiential—that enhance brand awareness and drive direct bookings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations, Finance, and Human Resources departments to ensure seamless execution of promotional initiatives and accurate budgeting.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting sales forecasts, market share metrics, and ROI on marketing spend.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations while maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the hotel’s presence in both domestic and international markets.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the sales funnel, from lead generation to conversion, using CRM tools and data‑driven insights.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: Associate degree (D3) or higher; a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2‑3 years of proven experience in a senior sales or marketing role within an international hotel operating in Indonesia.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and successfully launching high‑impact marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional English language skills—reading, writing, and speaking—are essential for interacting with global partners and corporate clients.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance analytics.
  • High degree of professionalism, interpersonal acumen, motivational leadership, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast‑paced hospitality environment.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with a customer‑centric mindset.
  • Flexible availability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with occasional travel for client meetings or industry events.
