Working hours are Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, providing a structured schedule that balances productivity with personal time. Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standard recipes, ensuring consistency and high quality.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input for new items that reflect local flavors and international trends.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control of all ingredients.
  • Manage daily inventory, perform stock checks, and communicate requisition needs to the kitchen supervisor to avoid shortages.
  • Coordinate with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, adapting quickly to peak periods and special requests.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment, report any malfunctions, and ensure routine cleaning and maintenance are performed.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and occupational regulations, participating in regular safety drills and audits.
  • Contribute to waste‑reduction initiatives by practicing proper portion control and utilizing surplus ingredients creatively.
  • Continuously improve cooking techniques through self‑learning, workshops, and feedback from peers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of professional cooking experience, preferably in a high‑traffic restaurant or hotel kitchen.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Personal attributes: honesty, sociability, meticulous attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new cuisines and techniques.
  • Physical stamina and the capacity to handle fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments; fast learner with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Flexibility to be stationed at either Juanda Airport or the Tegalsari location, with reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in basic culinary skills, including knife handling, grilling, sautéing, and plating.
  • Understanding of food safety certifications (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
