We are seeking a motivated and proficient Private Mandarin Tutor to deliver high‑quality language instruction to beginners and university students. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver customized lesson plans for beginner and intermediate learners, aligning with each student’s goals and proficiency level.
- Conduct live online sessions via Zoom, Google Meet, or other video‑conference platforms, ensuring clear audio‑visual quality.
- Provide constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and character writing, and track progress through regular assessments.
- Develop supplementary learning materials such as flashcards, worksheets, and short videos to reinforce classroom instruction.
- Maintain an engaging, patient, and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation.
- Communicate with students and, when applicable, their parents or academic advisors to discuss performance, set goals, and address any concerns.
- Stay updated on the latest Mandarin teaching methodologies, digital tools, and cultural resources to continuously improve instructional quality.
- Manage scheduling, attendance records, and session invoicing through the company’s online portal.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Chinese Studies, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Native‑level fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) and strong command of English for bilingual instruction.
- Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching Mandarin in formal (schools, universities) or informal settings (private tutoring, community workshops) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Ability to deliver lessons online using Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms; comfortable with digital whiteboards, screen sharing, and online assessment tools.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent communication, patience, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Equipment: Reliable computer, high‑speed internet connection, webcam, and headset.
- Availability: Flexible schedule with the ability to teach Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00 (local time).
