Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Operational Manager for Spa and Fitness to lead the day‑to‑day activities of our luxury wellness centre. This pivotal role ensures that guests receive world‑class spa treatments and fitness experiences while maintaining operational excellence, safety standards, and profitability. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of spa and fitness operations, including treatment rooms, gym equipment, and ancillary services.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to guarantee coverage for peak periods, weekend shifts, and holidays.
- Monitor inventory levels of linens, oils, chemicals, and fitness accessories; coordinate ordering and vendor relationships.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene protocols in accordance with local regulations and brand standards.
- Conduct regular quality‑control inspections to ensure treatment consistency, equipment maintenance, and facility cleanliness.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional packages, loyalty programs, and seasonal campaigns that drive guest engagement.
- Prepare and analyze operational budgets, forecast revenue, and identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of therapists, trainers, and support staff, fostering a hospitality mindset throughout the team.
- Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints promptly, and implement service‑improvement initiatives.
- Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, providing insights on occupancy rates, average spend, and employee productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (associate or bachelor degree) in Hospitality Management, Sports Science, or related field; SMA/SMK acceptable for entry‑level positions.
- At least 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar operational role within a hotel, resort, or wellness centre.
- Strong understanding of hotel and restaurant operational standards, especially as they apply to spa and fitness services.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine hospitality mindset focused on guest satisfaction.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to represent the brand positively.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to work shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
