Introduction
We are seeking a diligent Remedial Officer (Collection) to join our growing team in Bangkalan, Jawa Timur. This role is critical to the financial health of our organization, focusing on timely recovery of overdue receivables (A/R Overdue). The successful candidate will work closely with credit, sales, and customer service teams to ensure that collection processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our corporate targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end collection cycle for overdue accounts, ensuring all actions are completed within stipulated deadlines.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly A/R aging reports, identifying high‑risk accounts and prioritizing follow‑up activities.
- Conduct outbound calls, send reminders, and arrange payment plans with delinquent customers while maintaining a professional and empathetic tone.
- Negotiate settlement terms, document agreements, and obtain necessary approvals from senior management.
- Collaborate with the credit underwriting team to review customer credit profiles and recommend adjustments to credit limits or terms.
- Prepare and present collection performance dashboards to management, highlighting key metrics such as recovery rate, days sales outstanding (DSO), and portfolio quality.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to debt collection and data privacy.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities in the company’s ERP system, providing audit‑ready documentation.
- Support the development of continuous‑improvement initiatives, such as automating reminder workflows or refining escalation procedures.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices, legal changes, and negotiation techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate) or S1 (Bachelor) in any discipline; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Male candidates only; maximum age of 29‑30 years at the time of application.
- At least 1 year of experience in collections, credit monitoring, or related financial services (experience is a strong advantage but not mandatory).
- Strong understanding of multi‑finance business processes and a clear orientation toward achieving collection targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to negotiate and resolve disputes amicably.
- High degree of integrity, resilience, attention to detail, and honesty in handling sensitive financial data.
- Proficiency in credit monitoring tools, debt collection software, and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to work in a location that aligns with the candidate’s domicile, with a standard work schedule of Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑16:00.
