Introduction
We are a leading rice‑seed manufacturing company operating in the fertile region of Pasuruan, East Java. Our state‑of‑the‑art facility supplies high‑quality padi (rice) seeds to growers across Indonesia, supporting food security and sustainable agriculture. We are seeking a diligent Mandor Pabrik Benih Padi (Plant Supervisor) to lead daily production activities, ensure strict compliance with quality standards, and coordinate a dedicated team of production staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre‑shift inspections of all production equipment, including drying floors, dryers, blowers, scales, and packing machines, to verify operational readiness.
- Monitor and manage the availability of supporting raw materials, ensuring proper segregation by rice variety and tonnage in designated storage areas.
- Receive incoming padi grain, accurately weigh each lot, and promptly report quantities to the Production Warehouse Supervisor (SPV).
- Control moisture content on drying floors and in dryers in accordance with established SOPs, documenting readings at regular intervals.
- Supervise the blower and packing processes, guaranteeing that finished seed packages meet weight and quality specifications.
- Assign daily tasks, direct workflow, and oversee attendance for production workers, fostering a safe and productive environment.
- Coordinate with the Production Warehouse Supervisor to align production targets, synchronize activities, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Prepare and submit a comprehensive daily production report at the end of each shift, highlighting output, variances, and any incidents.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, implement contamination prevention measures, and ensure strict separation of different seed varieties.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools to record data, generate reports, and communicate effectively with management and cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1); a degree in Agricultural Technology or a related field is strongly preferred.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in agricultural production, preferably within the rice‑seed industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to upholding quality standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; capable of giving clear, assertive instructions.
- Demonstrated leadership and team‑management capabilities, including scheduling and attendance tracking.
- Willingness to be based in Pasuruan, Jawa Timur, with a work schedule of Monday – Saturday, 08:00 – 16:00.
