Introduction
The Officer Remedial – Manado is a critical role within our collections and recovery team, focused on reducing non‑performing loan (NPL) exposure and ensuring the smooth flow of potential write‑off (POWO) accounts. Based in the vibrant city of Manado, the successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive effective debt recovery while maintaining compliance with legal standards. This position offers a dynamic environment where analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and a results‑oriented mindset are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Reduce overdue balances in the Bucket NPL (90+ days) by implementing targeted collection strategies and monitoring account progress.
- Maintain and optimize the flow of Potential Write‑Off (POWO) accounts to ensure timely identification and handling of high‑risk portfolios.
- Execute recovery actions on accounts earmarked for write‑off, employing legal and procedural tools to maximize recoveries.
- Develop and maintain a robust external network (e.g., Profcoll, legal firms, debt brokers) to support collection efforts and gather intelligence on debtor assets.
- Conduct thorough account analyses, identify root causes of delinquency, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future defaults.
- Collaborate with the legal department to understand relevant regulations and ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collection performance, overdue trends, and recovery outcomes for senior management.
- Participate in regular team meetings, share best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the collections function.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance team culture.
- Adhere to the defined work schedule (Monday‑Friday, 08:30‑17:30) and ensure punctuality and reliability in all assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a background in legal studies is highly preferred.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in collections, debt recovery, or related financial services.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Active driver’s license (SIM A & C) and personal motor vehicle for field visits within the Manado area.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a target‑oriented team.
- Male candidates only, aged 35 years or younger, in accordance with local hiring policies.
- Proficiency in analytical tools and the ability to interpret financial data to drive collection decisions.
- Established external network with agencies such as Profcoll and other collection partners.
