Introduction
Bintang Pelajar, a leading education provider based in Bogor, is seeking a dedicated Staff Member for Mathematics Question Development. This full‑time position will be based at our headquarters and will play a pivotal role in creating high‑quality instructional materials and assessment items that align with the Cambridge curriculum (Primary, IGCSE, and A‑Level). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with curriculum designers, teachers, and the research‑development (Litbang) team to ensure that our mathematics programs remain rigorous, engaging, and internationally benchmarked.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and review mathematics teaching modules, lesson plans, and supplemental worksheets that meet Cambridge standards.
- Design a comprehensive bank of assessment items—including multiple‑choice, short‑answer, and problem‑solving questions—for all grade levels covered by the curriculum.
- Conduct item analysis and statistical reviews to ensure reliability, validity, and appropriate difficulty levels of each test.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate real‑world applications and interdisciplinary links into the content.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of curriculum revisions, examination specifications, and pedagogical best practices.
- Provide feedback and professional development support to teachers on effective use of the materials.
- Participate in regular quality‑assurance meetings, contributing to continuous improvement of the mathematics program.
- Assist the Litbang team in researching emerging trends in mathematics education and incorporating innovative instructional technologies.
- Ensure all content complies with Bintang Pelajar’s standards for inclusivity, cultural relevance, and non‑discriminatory language.
- Manage timelines and deliverables, meeting weekly and monthly production schedules.
Requirements
- Male Muslim candidate, age not exceeding 35 years, in good health and non‑smoker.
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) from a recognized Indonesian university in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related linear discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.00/4.00.
- At least one (1) year of professional experience in mathematics curriculum development, research, or instructional design.
- Proven familiarity with the Cambridge International curriculum (Primary, IGCSE, A‑Level) and its assessment framework.
- Ability to develop modules, question banks, and evaluation tools specifically tailored to Cambridge standards.
- English proficiency demonstrated by TOEFL score of 500 or higher, or IELTS band 6.5 or above.
- Strong analytical skills, including curriculum analysis, design, and evaluation.
- Excellent written communication in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Effective teamwork, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Willingness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑16:00, at the Bogor headquarters.
