Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Wi‑Fi Network Technician to join our rapidly growing telecommunications team in the vibrant region of Colomadu, Solo Raya. This hands‑on position is essential for ensuring reliable wireless connectivity across our corporate facilities, client sites, and remote installations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and field coordinators, contributing to the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of high‑performance Wi‑Fi networks that support both internal operations and external customers.
The role offers a dynamic work environment where technical expertise, safety awareness, and a proactive attitude are highly valued. Candidates will be based primarily in the Karanganyar/Solo area, with the flexibility to travel to any company‑owned site throughout the region. A company‑provided mess facility is available for those who need on‑site accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Perform fiber‑optic (FO) cable pulling, ensuring proper routing, tension control, and compliance with industry standards.
- Install, configure, test, and dismantle Access Points (AP) to deliver seamless Wi‑Fi coverage in office buildings, warehouses, and outdoor venues.
- Execute precise splicing of fiber‑optic cables, including polishing, testing with OTDR equipment, and documenting splice losses.
- Organize and label cable bundles for neatness, future scalability, and ease of troubleshooting.
- Conduct site surveys to verify optimal AP placement, assess signal strength, and recommend adjustments for maximum performance.
- Collaborate with the network engineering team to integrate new hardware into the existing network topology and update configuration records.
- Maintain accurate as‑built documentation, including schematics, punch‑lists, and work‑order reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols, especially when working at heights or in confined spaces, and ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly.
- Provide on‑site technical support and rapid resolution of connectivity issues reported by end‑users.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with emerging Wi‑Fi standards (e.g., Wi‑Fi 6, Wi‑Fi 6E) and fiber‑optic technologies.
Requirements
- Male candidate, maximum age of 30 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferred specialization in Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) or Teknologi Jaringan dan Telekomunikasi (TJAT).
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in fiber‑optic cable work, AP installation, or related networking tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely at heights and in varied environmental conditions.
- Active enrollment in BPJS Kesehatan/KIS is mandatory.
- Physically fit and mentally resilient, able to handle the demands of fieldwork.
- Strong coordination skills for on‑site teamwork and communication with engineers, project managers, and clients.
- Analytical mindset to troubleshoot network anomalies and propose effective solutions.
- Willingness to be deployed across all company locations; residence in Karanganyar or Solo is highly preferred.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:30 – 18:00, with occasional overtime as project timelines require.
