Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Cook Pastry – Professional Baking Specialist to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will work full‑time, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and will be responsible for creating a wide range of pastries, breads, and confectionery items. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts in accordance with company recipes and quality standards.
  • Measure, mix, and knead doughs and batters, ensuring consistency and proper texture for each product.
  • Develop and test new recipes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative flavor profiles to keep the menu fresh and appealing.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety practices, including proper sanitation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, place orders as needed, and manage waste to minimize cost.
  • Collaborate closely with the head chef and kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules and meet service demands during peak hours.
  • Train junior bakers and kitchen assistants on proper techniques, safety protocols, and presentation standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks, adjusting baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product outcomes.
  • Document production logs, including batch numbers, ingredient usage, and any deviations from standard recipes.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss menu updates, customer feedback, and opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; culinary school training is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience in a professional bakery or pastry kitchen, with a demonstrable portfolio of baked goods.
  • Excellent grooming and a professional attitude toward both colleagues and customers.
  • Strong knowledge of baking fundamentals, including ingredient functions, dough development, and temperature control.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight production deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to share knowledge and mentor junior staff.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering consistently high‑quality products.
  • Flexibility to start immediately and adapt to rotating shift schedules if required.
