Introduction
We are seeking a passionate Guru Bahasa Indonesia to join our elementary school faculty. This full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality Indonesian language instruction to students in grades 1‑6, fostering a love for literature, and nurturing the development of critical communication skills. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver daily Bahasa Indonesia lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school’s educational philosophy.
- Design interactive activities, storytelling sessions, and language games that promote reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and oral expression.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, assignments, projects, and oral presentations, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, grade books, and lesson documentation in accordance with school policies.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate cross‑curricular projects and reinforce language skills across subjects.
- Participate in weekly faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and parent‑teacher conferences.
- Uphold the school’s Islamic ethos by modeling modest dress, respectful behavior, and a non‑smoking environment (for male staff).
- Mentor students in extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, writing competitions, and cultural events.
- Continuously update instructional strategies by staying informed of current educational research and best practices in language teaching.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa dan Sastra, or a related field.
- Open to all genders; both male and female candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Professional appearance adhering to Islamic modesty standards; male candidates must be non‑smokers.
- Strong passion for education and a genuine love for teaching Indonesian language and literature.
