Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Merchandiser Penjualan to join our dynamic sales team in Kota Kisaran. Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the assigned GT and MT stores, acting as the primary point of contact for store managers and staff.
- Conduct routine store visits according to a predefined schedule, ensuring consistent presence and timely issue resolution.
- Execute merchandising activities such as product placement, shelf arrangement, price tagging, and promotional set‑ups to maximize shelf impact.
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive promotional campaigns, in‑store sampling, and point‑of‑sale material deployment.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform stock checks, and prepare accurate order forecasts to prevent stock‑outs and excess inventory.
- Gather market intelligence, including competitor pricing, new product launches, and consumer feedback, and report findings to the regional manager.
- Maintain detailed visit logs, sales reports, and merchandising compliance checklists using company‑provided mobile tools.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling, contributing to the achievement of monthly sales targets.
- Provide training and guidance to store personnel on product features, benefits, and proper handling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations during all field activities.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a Merchandiser (MD) or Senior Merchandiser (SMD), preferably within FMCG or consumer goods distribution.
- Valid personal vehicle and a Class C driver’s license (SIM C) for independent store visits.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with retailers.
- Ability to interpret sales data, create order estimates, and manage time efficiently.
- Basic design sense for product layout and visual merchandising.
- Flexible to work standard business hours (08:00 – 17:00) with occasional overtime during peak promotional periods.
