Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Asisten Koki to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will assist the head chef in preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide variety of dishes that meet our high standards of taste, quality, and visual appeal. Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning, to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
- Support the chef in cooking a variety of menu items, following standardized recipes and timing guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Plate dishes with attention to detail, adhering to presentation standards that enhance the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, storage areas, and kitchen equipment, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and help with receiving and storing deliveries to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the team during peak service periods, communicating effectively to prioritize orders and meet guest expectations.
- Participate in regular kitchen briefings, sharing ideas for menu improvements, cost‑saving measures, and process efficiencies.
- Adhere to all food safety protocols, including proper handling, temperature control, and documentation of hygiene checks.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a similar culinary role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
- Strong work ethic, honesty, and discipline in following kitchen procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse team members, demonstrating good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic cooking skills and a willingness to learn advanced techniques.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with occasional overtime during special events.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle the demands of a busy kitchen environment.
