To strengthen our presence in the Yogyakarta region, we are seeking dynamic and results‑driven individuals to join our Sales Merchandising (SMD) team. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine field sales expertise with on‑site merchandising, driving brand visibility and achieving measurable growth.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily merchandising activities across assigned retail outlets, ensuring product placement, shelf compliance, and promotional material upkeep.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers, distributors, and key decision‑makers to facilitate smooth product ordering and replenishment.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock‑out analyses, and coordinate with the logistics team to prevent gaps in product availability.
- Collect and report sales data, market trends, and competitor activities, providing actionable insights for the regional sales strategy.
- Achieve assigned sales targets by executing persuasive in‑store selling techniques, product demonstrations, and up‑selling opportunities.
- Coordinate and execute in‑store promotional events, sampling programs, and brand activation initiatives.
- Utilize a smartphone (Android, minimum 4 GB RAM) to capture real‑time photos, update POS data, and submit daily activity reports via the company’s mobile app.
- Adhere to safety and compliance standards, including proper use of a personal motorcycle and a valid SIM C driving licence for efficient territory coverage.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, merchandising standards, and sales techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 30 years or younger.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in FMCG or baby‑care sales merchandising.
- Own a reliable motorcycle and hold an active SIM C licence.
- Own an Android smartphone with at least 4 GB RAM for app‑based reporting.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Highly motivated, honest, and responsible with a clear willingness to work and meet targets.
- Ability to adapt to changing market needs, analyze sales performance, and propose improvement actions.
- Availability to work Tuesday through Sunday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
