Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista to join our professional coffee shop team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, pour‑over, cold brew, and latte art, ensuring consistency and quality according to our standard recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and customer seating, following health and safety regulations.
- Operate and troubleshoot espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee‑making equipment, performing routine maintenance and reporting any issues promptly.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner, taking orders, answering menu questions, and providing recommendations based on individual preferences.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and consumables, conducting daily stock checks and assisting with ordering when needed.
- Handle cash transactions and operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to uphold a smooth workflow during peak hours, supporting teammates as required.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with new brewing techniques, product launches, and service standards.
- Uphold the café’s brand image by dressing appropriately, maintaining a tidy appearance, and adhering to the company’s code of conduct.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum D3/D4 qualification; a high school diploma (SMK) in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven barista experience in a fast‑paced coffee shop or similar environment.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Essential Skills: Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, ability to operate espresso machines, and basic math for cash handling.
- Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork, clear communication, high level of honesty, and responsibility.
- Personal Attributes: Punctuality, a willingness to work the full schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00), and a commitment to maintaining a clean, drug‑free workplace.
- Preferred: Observance of the five daily prayers (Sholat) and a genuine passion for the coffee industry.
