Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Remedial Officer (Collection) to join our dynamic finance team in Sofifi, Maluku Utara. This role is pivotal in ensuring that overdue receivables are managed efficiently, supporting the company’s cash flow stability and overall financial health. The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background, a strong sense of integrity, and the interpersonal skills necessary to negotiate with borrowers while maintaining professional relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end collections activities for accounts receivable (A/R) that are overdue, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.
- Monitor credit exposure and identify high‑risk accounts for proactive intervention.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collection performance, highlighting trends and potential problem areas.
- Coordinate with the credit underwriting team to verify the accuracy of loan documentation and repayment schedules.
- Conduct phone calls, send written reminders, and, when necessary, arrange face‑to‑face meetings with borrowers to negotiate repayment plans.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records in the company’s collection system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal policies.
- Collaborate with legal counsel for the escalation of delinquent accounts that may require formal recovery actions.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on effective collection techniques and communication best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to the collection process to enhance efficiency and recovery rates.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (Associate or Bachelor’s degree) in any discipline; all majors are considered.
- Maximum age: 30 years.
- Gender: Male (as per current posting).
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar collections or credit monitoring role; fresh graduates are welcome but a year of relevant experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of multifinance business processes and a target‑driven mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven negotiation ability.
- High level of integrity, perseverance, meticulous attention to detail, and honesty.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to be placed according to domicile, with the primary work location in Sofifi.
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 16:00.
