Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging science lessons (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) that align with Cambridge International and/or OxfordAQA standards.
- Develop comprehensive weekly and term‑long lesson plans, incorporating inquiry‑based learning, labs, and multimedia resources.
- Assess student performance through formative quizzes, summative exams, practical lab reports, and project‑based evaluations; provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Utilize Google Workspace for Education to create digital worksheets, manage classroom communication, and maintain accurate student records.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and inquiry‑driven laboratory environment, ensuring all safety protocols are observed.
- Mentor and support students academically and socially, offering extra tutoring sessions and guidance for science competitions.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum coordinators, and senior leadership to refine teaching strategies and integrate interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in regular professional development workshops, staff meetings, and school events, contributing ideas for curriculum enhancement.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of scientific advancements and pedagogical trends, sharing best practices with the teaching community.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and achievement through reports, meetings, and digital platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Science, Education, or a related field; fresh graduates with strong subject knowledge are welcome.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably with exposure to Cambridge International or OxfordAQA curricula.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non‑native speakers.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education (Docs, Slides, Classroom, Drive) and basic computer literacy.
- Strong interpersonal skills: responsible, committed, creative, highly motivated, fast learner, and capable of working collaboratively in a team.
- Positive, mature personality with excellent communication skills and adaptability to new challenges.
- Indonesian citizenship (expatriates are not eligible).
- Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 07:00‑16:00, adhering to the school’s professional standards and code of conduct.
