Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Guru Al‑Quran dengan Metode UMMI to join our educational team. This role focuses on nurturing the spiritual and linguistic development of primary and middle‑school students through the teaching of Al‑Quran and Tahfidz (memorization). Our institution values a balanced approach that blends traditional Islamic pedagogy with modern teaching tools, ensuring that students acquire both deep religious knowledge and the confidence to apply it in everyday life.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in Quranic memorization, preferably holding certification in the UMMI (Ujian Munaqasha Mutu Internasional) method, and will be enthusiastic about continuous personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Al‑Quran lessons to students in grades SD (elementary) and SMP (middle school) using the UMMI methodology.
- Guide students through systematic Tahfidz programs, monitoring progress and providing corrective feedback.
- Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly teaching reports, including student attendance, memorization milestones, and areas needing improvement.
- Develop supplemental teaching materials such as worksheets, audio‑visual aids, and interactive activities that reinforce Quranic verses and pronunciation.
- Conduct occasional parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student performance, set realistic goals, and recommend additional practice strategies.
- Utilize basic computer and Microsoft Office skills to maintain digital records, create presentation slides, and manage classroom resources.
- Participate in regular staff development sessions, sharing best practices and staying updated on the latest developments in Islamic education.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discipline, and moral development.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of proven experience teaching Al‑Quran or related subjects to young learners.
- Memorization of a minimum of Juz 30, with a commitment to continue expanding personal hafalan.
- Certification or formal training in the UMMI method is highly preferred.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate children of diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, from 07:30 to 12:00.
