Introduction
We are a leading logistics and warehousing provider looking for an experienced Tenaga Bongkar Muat (Loading and Unloading Operative) to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our distribution network, ensuring that cargo is handled safely, efficiently, and in accordance with strict K3 (occupational health and safety) standards. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, often on rotating shifts, and will be ready to respond to operational needs 24 hours a day.
Responsibilities
- Perform loading and unloading of goods from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles, using manual techniques and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Arrange, stack, and organize items in the warehouse following company layout guidelines and safety clearance requirements.
- Assist in inbound and outbound inventory verification, ensuring accurate counts, proper labeling, and timely documentation.
- Inspect cargo for damage, report discrepancies, and take corrective actions to protect product integrity.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area by sweeping floors, disposing of waste, and securing loose materials.
- Adhere to all K3 protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe lifting techniques, and emergency procedures.
- Support overtime operations and be on-call for urgent loading/unloading tasks outside regular hours.
- Provide occasional assistance with office logistics, such as delivering documents or driving company vehicles when required.
- Collaborate with supervisors, inventory clerks, and fellow operatives to achieve daily throughput targets.
Requirements
- Male, maximum age of 45 years.
- Minimum education: elementary school (SD) – all higher levels are welcomed.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in loading/unloading, warehousing, or related logistics functions.
- Physically strong, with the stamina to lift heavy items repeatedly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent health – both physical and mental – with no history of substance abuse.
- Possession of a valid SIM A (driver’s license) is highly preferred.
- Strong work ethic: disciplined, honest, responsible, and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a coordinated team.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules (including night shifts) and be reachable 24 hours for urgent calls.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and quality.
