Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Trucks and Buses) to join our dynamic maintenance team. This full‑time position offers a stable Monday‑Saturday schedule and the opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of commercial trucks and passenger buses. Responsibilities
The Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of all assigned vehicles. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and detailed diagnostics on trucks and buses.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals.
- Repairing or replacing engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension components, and other critical systems.
- Performing scheduled servicing such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Maintaining accurate service records, work orders, and inventory logs for parts and consumables.
- Collaborating with fleet managers to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians or apprentices.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting cost‑effective solutions.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Certification: Valid driver’s license (SIM) appropriate for operating service vehicles or test drives.
- Experience: No prior experience required; however, any hands‑on exposure to heavy‑vehicle maintenance is a plus.
- Physical fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, lift heavy parts, and work in various weather conditions.
- Technical skills: Basic understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and suspension.
- Soft skills: Strong discipline, honesty, responsibility, attention to detail, and good communication.
- Availability: Willingness to work the standard schedule of Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
