Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Cook Assistant – Kitchen Support Specialist to join our dynamic hotel pastry department. Responsibilities
- Assist senior pastry chefs in the preparation and execution of a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, artisan breads, and traditional market snacks.
- Measure, mix, and bake ingredients according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofing cabinets, and pastry tools.
- Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and reporting any shortages or quality concerns.
- Collaborate with front‑of‑house staff to fulfill special orders, banquet requests, and guest dietary requirements.
- Participate in shift handovers, documenting production outputs, equipment issues, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Contribute creative ideas for new pastry items, seasonal menus, and presentation enhancements.
- Adapt to flexible shift patterns, including morning, evening, and night rotations, to ensure continuous kitchen coverage.
- Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities by handling multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a hotel pastry or similar culinary setting.
- Educational background: at least a high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.

- Excellent personal integrity – honesty, responsibility, and discipline are essential.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
